Project Lead The Way (PLTW) is the leading provider of rigorous and innovative STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education curricular programs used in schools. PLTW exists to prepare students for the global economy through its world-class curriculum and an engaged network of educators and students. The hands-on, project-based program engages students on multiple levels, exposes them to areas of study that they typically do not pursue, and provides them with a foundation and proven path to college and career success. Technology & Engineering DLCS Standards

 

Students experience hands-on activities in the technologies listed below as part of their digital literacy education: Keyboarding; Google Drive, Docs and Sheets; Coding; Online safety and cyberbullying as explained here.

In addition, students have frequent mini-lessons in digital citizenship topics as found here. All lessons are aligned with the DESE DLCS standards.

 

 

Studying Clean Energy

Students in Chelmsford High School’s Project Lead the Way Introduction to Engineering Design course recently began a Clean Energy unit, which explores real-world challenges related to renewable energy and uses the engineering design process to research and design potential solutions.
