Mission

The Chelmsford community represents a wide variety of identities, backgrounds, languages, and experiences. We will focus on making sure that each and every student is given the opportunity to succeed, thrive, and belong in Chelmsford Public Schools. We believe that our increasing diversity is and will continue to be a strength of our district.

Highlights in DEI

Parker Middle School welcomed professional athlete Nico Calabria and the Bionic Project to visit with fifth graders on Sept. 22, 2023. The Bionic Project aims to create a more inclusive world for everyone, regardless of physical ability, by dismantling disability bias, building empathy, and fostering connection through education, story and sport.

Bionic Project representatives returned to talk with all of the sixth graders at Parker on Friday Oct. 13, then worked in eight physical education classes (comprising 100 fifth graders and 100 sixth graders) throughout the course of the afternoon.

The organization also visited McCarthy Middle School after Thanksgiving recess, holding presentations for seventh and eighth grade students, as well as some hands-on activities in physical education classes Nov. 27-28.
