The Sun: Scanlon column – North Chelmsford native Jack Eichel nets 200th career NHL goal

Local hockey fans watching the NHL Network just after midnight Tuesday received a special treat.

The Seattle Kraken were leading the Vegas Golden Knights by a goal with under a minute left. With the seconds ticking off and the Vegas net empty for a sixth skater, North Chelmsford native and Vegas star Jack Eichel kept the puck in at the right point.

Eichel shot the puck at the Seattle net. It was redirected to the left to Jonathan Marchessault, who banged it home with 16 seconds left. At that point Eichel had a two-assist night going.
