CHELMSFORD, MA (Sept. 17, 2019) – Chelmsford Public Schools is pleased to announce it has been awarded a donation of $ 50,000 to purchase equipment for the Chelmsford Integrated Preschool (CHIPS) from The Hoyt Foundation.  The donation is designed to meet The Hoyt Foundation’s core mission of supporting individuals living with disabilities and encouraging the belief that “Yes, You Can”.

“We are honored to accept the donation from The Hoyt Foundation,” said Dr. Jay Lang, Superintendent of the Chelmsford Public Schools.  “The support of The Hoyt Foundation and their commitment to people living with disabilities has enabled the Chelmsford Integrated Preschool to purchase much-needed equipment for our preschool children.”

This year, having met all funding requests, The Hoyt Foundation had a surplus of funds and chose to donate them to the CHIPS program.  CHIPS will use the funds to purchase equipment to benefit children with disabilities that will further promote literacy, physical activity and discovery.

Dr. Lang further stated, “We would like to thank The Hoyt Foundation for their generous donation and for all they do for people with disabilities.”
